When Mahesh Bhatt was once quizzed about the inspiration behind his films, he had quipped that everything in this universe is inspired from other things.
The philosophy
holds true to his protégé Mohit Suri as well. Mohit’s upcoming film Half
Girlfriend is based on a novel by Chetan Bhagat, and buzz is, the leading man,
Madhav Jha, is inspired by a real person. It is none other than Lalu Prasad
Yadav’s son-in-law, Shailesh Kumar Yadav, who is the husband of Misa Yadav.
Shailesh Kumar Yadav’s last assignment was with blue chip firm Infosys and since then has been assisting his father-in-law in their family business of politics. Shailesh studied engineering in Baroda and later on pursued a management course from Lucknow.
As per Mohit Suri, Chetan was friends with Shailesh Yadav during his college days.
“Chetan was
Shailesh’s friend during college days and Shailesh is Lalu Ji’s son-in-law. The
character of Madhav in Chetan’s book is sort of inspired from him,” elaborates
Mohit.
It was during the
Patna schedule of the film that Mohit met the man for the first time and
Shailesh had then directed his assistant Shishir to ensure that Mohit had a
smooth shoot in the city.
