Sanjay Dutt is currently promoting his upcoming film
Bhoomi and yesterday the star was puffing on a cigarette when he met the
gathered journalists.
The star was asked how his father, the legendary
actor-turned-politician Sunil Dutt reacted when he got to know about Sanjay’s
smoking habit and he replied: "Bohut joothe padhe the! My father had
caught me smoking in the bathroom. He took me inside the room, and thrashed me.
I know I need to stop smoking. I will attempt it once again, soon."
Talking about the kind of father he is, Sanjay said that
he is not a strict disciplinarian but he does have a grouse.
"I do not like children seeking permission or wishing to spend the
nights with their friends in their homes. You have the duration of the entire
day to bond with your friends. Then why spend nights together? This is one
thing I detest to the core.”
Bhoomi which also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, is a revenge
drama that explores the relationship between a father and daughter. The film is
much awaited as it is Sanjay Dutt's comeback film after his release from
prison in 2016.
A few days ago, the makers of the film released the
second song of the album Lag Ja Gale, which is a soft romantic number. The
soulful song is crooned by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and the music is by
composer duo Sachin-Jigar. Lyrics have been penned by Priya Saraiya.
Directed by Omung Kumar, Bhoomi is all set to hit
theaters on September 22.
