A few days ago, Deepika Padukone found herself at the
receiving end when fans trolled her for endorsing Coca Cola. Well-wishers
slammed her for advocating the use of aerated drinks, with some even demanding
a ban on such liquids.
Now, SpotboyE.com can tell you that a B-Town actor has
taken a stand against endorsing these drinks, so much so, that he declined a
lucrative ad offer.
Who is this star, you ask?

Well, it’s R Madhavan. We hear, the Saala Khadoos actor
avoids aerated drinks in real life since he is well aware of the impact it can
have on one’s body with dehydration, high sugar, weight-gain and calcium
depletion being few of the many side effects.
Says a source, “When Madhavan stays away from such
products in real life, why will he endorse them? Stars are role models and them
backing products can have a huge impact on fans.”
This is not the first time an actor has said ‘No’ to
endorsing a product he/she does not believe in.Yesterday, we told you that
Ranbir was recently approached by a brand which wanted to sign him as the face
of their fairness cream. To woo the star, they offered a whopping sum of
Rs 9 crore (approximately) and all for less than a day’s work.
But Ranbir declined the offer.
With this he has made his stand clear on the debate which has seen many fingers
being pointed at Bollywood stars for perpetuating colourism.
In the past Kangana Ranaut and Randeep Hooda too have
refused to lend star value to fairness products.
We like.
