The Southern supremo fell and injured his right knee, according to reports.
Police sources said the 65-year-old actor had a fall while shooting a scene at Kelambakkam on East Coast Road in Chennai around 8 o'clock on Saturday night. He was taken to a private hospital nearby.
A doctor in the hospital said the actor was sent home with a suture on his right leg.
With this, Shankar's ambitious 2.0 may have hit its first speedbump.

Karan Johar who was the host of the evening had addressed the makers of the film as ‘Shahjahaan of Production’.
The film which stars Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as the main nemesis is set for a 2017 release.
With a reported budget of some 300 crores, 2.0 is also being touted as the most expensive film to be made in Asia.
