Amitabh Bachchan praised Tanushree Dutta the other night on Kaun Banega Crorepati and justifiably so, but little does one know that in her bravado of triggering off the #MeToo campaign in India, Tanushree's parents' health was affected adversely.

Talking to SpotboyE.com EXCLUSIVELY, Tanushree says, "My dad developed discomfort and certain tests suggested that something was wrong with his heart. We took him to a leading cardiologist.

Things refused to settle down and he developed pain in stomach. A leading gastroenterologist treated him but we were clearly told that it was all due to stress and anxiety.

Memories came rolling back to him. Remember, we were all in the car when I was brutally attacked 10 years ago. And how can one forget the threats that followed?

I advised him to take to meditation."

For those who've come in late, Tanushree had filed a complaint against Nana Patekar wherein she accused him of harassing and misbehaving with her while shooting for a song on the sets of the film Horn Ok Pleassss (released in 2009). Ganesh Acharya, Tanushree had also accused choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang and producer Sami Siddiqu as those involved in the harassment.

Tanushree vows to continue fighting.

Continues Tanushree, "I remember I was supposed to go back abroad and when I debated owing to his healthscare, I was told that I should rather leave so that he gets fine. I am his daughter and he is very close to me, he had taken everything very personally. I still can't forget how skinny he had become during that period.

Meanwhile, mom had a gall-bladder issue. And trust me, even that had manifested due to anxiety. She underwent a surgery.

Dad was taken to Vellore after multiple rounds of treatment, where he was eventually told by the doctors that he is okay now- but not before he was told that he'll have to not think about the last year happening. His health had been terrible for a period of as many as 8 months. He was on 10-12 tablets a day, and in fact, he is still on many of those.

But, is this what you get after losing years of work? Is this what you get for speaking just the truth?" Tanushree signs off.
