Veteran actor Nana Patekar got a relief from Mumbai Police regarding the allegations of sexual harassment by Tanushree Dutta, a few weeks back. The B summary report submitted by the police to the court stated the lack of evidence against the veteran actor. The matter was later also taken into consideration by the Maharashtra Women’s Commission.

As the police didn’t find any evidence in this case, the complaint made by Tanushree Dutta to the Maharashtra Women’s Commission via a third person has now turned down the accusations of the actress. As stated in a press conference held on Wednesday by the commission, the actress also failed in appearing despite the summons before the body.

While talking to DNA, the chairperson of the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, Vijaya Rahatkar, spilled the beans on the entire issue. The person quoted, “After the complaint made by Tanushree, the commission sent a notice to the people related to the case. The victim was also required to come directly and give information about her complaint, which did not take place. The process for actor Nana Patekar’s clean chit has begun, after the report was submitted by the police in the court. The court received the B summary report (no evidence in support of the claim) and began the process accordingly. After the report was released, Tanushree has been given a notice period.”

Despite the controversies surrounding, the veteran actor Nana Patekar will be seen in an upcoming Hindi romantic-comedy film Tadka directed by actor Prakash Raj. The film is a remake of the 2011 Malayalam blockbuster Salt N’ Pepper.
