Karan Johar's Takht featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor has been in the news ever since it got announced. The film kept in news because of its amazing star cast. Then reports of the film getting delayed kept the buzz alive. Later, there were reports that Karan Johar has shelved this project because Kalank failed to mint money at the box office. Now, the movie is once again in the news because of the production companies involved.
Rumours made it to the headlines that Fox Star Productions has pulled out its support from this dream project of Karan Johar. Bollywood Hungama had a source saying that as Fox Star’s CEO Vijay Sing has put down his papers, the company is relooking at the past collaborations with Dharma Production. However, now a report in ETimes suggests that Fox Star was never on board Takht in the first place.
A source has been quoted saying, "A story on Fox production backing out of Takht is false. Dharma Productions never approached Fox to produce the movie. Fox is already producing Brahmastra which is a big budget movie. Whereas Takht is a pet project of Karan Johar and will be solely produced by Dharma productions."
Amidst all this, currently, the production and preparations for Takht have been put on hold thanks to the outbreak of Coronavirus. Following the Government's advisory, Dharma Productions has put the work on its upcoming projects on hold. It was recently that Takht logo was shared by the stars on social media.
