Tabu has been associated with quality content ever since her debut in the film industry. She is one of the few Bollywood actresses who has been applauded by the critics and audience as well. She is often praised for her films like Maqbool, Chandni Bar, Astitva, The Namesake and many more.
Now, the talented actress is reportedly teaming up with Mahesh Manjrekar for the second time. Previously they were seen collaborating for the Hindi – Marathi bilingual, Astitva, which won a National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. ‘Astitva’ was released in 2000 and Tabu is discussing a probable reunion with Mahesh on his next directorial, White. The recent reports also suggest that the film is being produced by Sandeep Singh and Raaj Shaandilyaa.
“It’s a powerful drama centred around a widow. A lot of thought has gone into naming the film ‘White’ which blends well with the premise of the film. Mahesh and Tabu have been discussing several aspects of the script over the last few weeks and if things materialize in the longer run, this will be the second collaboration of the two after their National Award-Winning film,” said a source, quoted by Pinkvilla.
The film is likely to go on floors around summer 2022, and Tabu is reportedly excited to reunite with Mahesh. However, the dates, and all other details are yet to be finalized.
Currently, Mahesh is gearing up for the release of the Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma-starrer Antim. The film is the official remake of Marathi hit, Mulshi Pattern. The first song was launched recently and the makers are still figuring out the exact release model of Antim. It is expected to be released in the next two months.
On the other hand, Tabu will next be seen in Anees Bazmee directed horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 featuring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
