Remember the number Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh? The flirtatious dance number from Shree 420 starring Raj Kapoor and Nadira, is set to return to the big screen. This time, as the title of Sriram Raghavan’s next.

The film starring Tabu and Ayushmann Khurana is currently being shot in Lonavla and Pune. 30 percent of the film has already been shot.
Sriram Raghavan has mastered the art of unusual casting. He singlehandedly changed Varun Dhawan’s clean-cut image by casting him as a man on a murderous mission in Badlapur.

Indian Film Director Sriram Raghavan

Sriram Raghavan pulled a casting coup again by roping in Tabu and Ayushmann Khurrana. Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh, will be Sriram’s next release after Badlapur, which released in 2015.

Both the actors are known to be versatile performers. While Tabu has played everything from Shakespearean characters (Maqbool & Haider) to glamorous old ladies (Fitoor), Ayushmanns’ last film was Meri Pyari Bindu where he played an author of pulp fiction novels. Before that Ayushmann had garnered praise for his performance in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, another unusual love story.

Badlapur Movie Poster

Earlier it was reported that Sriram Raghavan is working on a cinematic version of Sheeja Jose's book Gone With The Bullet. There was a strong buzz that Sriram is planning to cast Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar in lead roles in this film.

Then there was the sequel to Badlapur starring none other than Deepika Padukone, another casting coup for the director.

Bollywood Star Tabu

However, there is no official word yet about the Alia-Akshay starrer or the Badlapur sequel.

As of now, Sriram Raghavan is focusing on Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh with Tabu and Ayushmann Khurana. With this trio, we are sure the film will be worth the wait!
