Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, debates and conversations about nepotism, bullying and power play in Bollywood have been reignited. There has been social media outrage and the ‘outsider-insider’ debate gained momentum. Veteran journalist Shekhar Gupta recently wrote a piece about the ugly face of Bollywood and named and shamed several tantrum-throwing Bollywood celebrities. Shekhar, who was one the CEO and editor-in-chief of The Indian Express Group, also wrote about the reality of award shows calling out Bollywood biggies such as Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan among others. Taapsee Pannu read the piece too and wished she could have known the post-2013 stories, as she could have related directly to them.
Taapsee Pannu made her Bollywood debut with the comedy film Chashme Baddoor which released in 2013. After that, there was no looking back for the actress as she went on to star in Pink, Badla, Mission Mangal, among others. Having stepped into Bollywood in 2013, Taapsee must have also had her share of struggles, and must have experienced the realities of the film industry that people have now openly started talking about. In her tweet replying to the story by Shekhar Gupta, Taapsee wrote that she wished to know about stories from 2013 onwards too.
She tweeted, “I wish I could know the stories of 2013 n onwards also. Would’ve related to it directly :).” Take a look:
