Taapsee Pannu Reveals She Doesn't Know Rhea Chakraborty Personally; Calls Media Trial 'Unfair'; 'Do You Want Rhea Or The Culprit To Go To Jail?'

There were many celebrities who came out in support of Rhea Chakraborty and stated that the alleged media trails against her are unfair. Among them in Taapsee Pannu. The Manmarziyan actress had taken to her social media account to state that it was wrong to take over judiciary and produce someone as a convict without being proven guilty. Now, to India Today, Taapsee has once again spoken up on the same and shared that she found the treatment Rhea received post Sushant Singh Rajput's death was unfair.

Taapsee in the interview asserted that she does not know Rhea Chakraborty personally, however, she had a problem with the kind of 'unfair trial that was happening and the kind of judgement passed on her'. Taapsee was quoted saying, "In this particular case, as I have always maintained, I really didn’t know her at all. I still don’t know her. The only problem I had was the kind of unfair trial that was happening and the kind of judgement that was passed on her. It’s not that before we haven’t had criminals from other industries or people being caught for doing something wrong from other industries. Even in our industry, for that matter. We have had a couple of big stars being caught but the way this girl went through the media trial and physical harassment at some places, it was something very shocking and something I couldn’t hold back. I had to speak up without even knowing anything about her."

She further questioned, "Do you want Rhea to go to jail or do you want the culprit to go to jail?" She asserted that these two are different things as of now no one has been ruled out as a culprit.
