Actor Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for the release of her upcoming sports drama 'Rashmi Rocket', which focuses on the gender biases that female sportspersons often face. The Pink actress is currently on a promotional spree for Akarsh Khurana’s directorial and has been sharing her experience of playing an athlete in the movie. In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu spoke about the moment that broke her while shooting Rashmi Rocket. She recalled filming the 'boys locker room' scene and revealed that day she cried a lot on the sets.
While speaking to Navbharat Times, Taapsee said, “Mai foot foot ke roi thi us din (I broke down and cried a lot on the sets that day). It was the day we shot the locker room scene. I was to be locked with the boys in their locker room. That day, I could not step out of my van till the time we started shooting. There was a whirlwind of emotions pent up inside me and it came out during the scene.”
Notably, in order to get into the skin of her role, Taapsee has undergone an amazing transformation and while doing so she also sustained a few injuries. While talking about the amount of pain she had to bear and the treatments she underwent for her recovery, the actress said, “My muscles became too tight to even lift my leg and it took me few weeks of therapy and different types of physio sessions and different style of training to unlearn my old technique and learn new techniques to make sure that particular muscle doesn't get overexerted.”
