On Thursday, the Bombay High Court said that it will continue the hearing of the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on COVID-19 related issues. As the news makes it to the headlines, Swara Bhasker made a tweet on her Twitter. She reacted and expressed her thoughts on the same.
Amidst the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, Swara Bhasker tweeted, “Thank You Bombay High court!!!” The actress thanked the Bombay High Court after understanding that they have refused to halt the hearing of PIL on the Coronavirus issues when told of Supreme Court's Suo Moto Cognizance. She reacted to a tweet made by Live Law, that reads, “Bombay High Refuses To Halt Hearing Of PIL On COVID19 Issues When Told Of Supreme Court's Suo Moto Cognizance”
Meanwhile, the Bombay High court said it will continue to hear the PIL on COVID-19 issues. As per the report, the development came after Assistant Solicitor General, Anil Singh tried to interrupt the hearing by referring to news reports related to the Supreme Court taking suo moto cognizance of the said issues. The court said that the SC is still to transfer the HC proceedings and mentioned that till then they will continue to hear the matter.
For the unversed, as per the report, the HC was dealing with a PIL filed by Advocate Sneha Marjadi represented by advocate Arshil Shah Simil Purohit. The petition brings light to the delay in “RT-PCR test results, doctor's prescription being sought for government testing and several other Coronavirus related problems regarding the availability of hospital beds, oxygen and more. The report mentioned that the HC said that notice to the Union of India will be issued on Thursday and the matter will be considered tomorrow.
