Sushmita Sen has added another feather to her glowing hat. The actress has been basking in the glory with appreciation pouring in from all corners for her brilliant performance in Aarya 2. Now, Sushmita has scored global recognition by winning the International Association of Working Women Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a television series presented by DC South Asian Film Festival 2021.

Talking about winning the prestigious award, Sushmita said, “I am overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation being showered on Aarya 2. The entire team has worked strenuously to put together a work of art that would be loved by everyone. It’s euphoric to win the International Association of Working Women Award for an outstanding performance by a female actor in a television series. I would like to thank the organizers of DC South Asian Film Festival for bestowing this honour on me and the entire team. This is surreal!” 

After the smashing success of the first season, the makers came back with its exciting second season, which was released on December 10, 2021.  The 8 episodes web show has been directed by Ram Madhvani and also featured Sikandar Kher as Daulat, Ankur Bhatia as Sangram, Aarya's brother, and others. 


Meanwhile, Sushmita Sen recently made headlines after she announced her breakup with Rohman Shawl. She confirmed her separation with him via a post on her Instagram that read, “We began as friends, we remain friends!!
