Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away in Delhi following a cardiac arrest at AIIMS hospital on Tuesday evening. Confirming the loss of Nation, ANI had tweeted, “Former External Affairs Minister & senior BJP leader, Sushma Swaraj, passes away" Her death has sent shockwaves across the nation. The veteran BJP leader was 67 and could not be revived as her family room her to Delhi's AIIMS hospital. The nine-time parliamentarian was an easily accessible foreign minister and was known to always help numerous Indians who reached out to her on Twitter.

Following the loss of the nation, reactions and condolences started pouring in right from her fans on social media to politicians, to  Bollywood celebrities. Just a few hours before her demise,  the former Foreign Minister had taken to social media to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the abrogation of Article 370. She wrote, "प्रधान मंत्री जी - आपका हार्दिक अभिनन्दन. मैं अपने जीवन में इस दिन को देखने की प्रतीक्षा कर रही थी. @narendramodi ji - Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to express his grief and shock in a series of Tweets as news of his trusted aid of years shook the nation.
