Veteran actor and comedian Shekhar Suman has reacted to the Cooper hospital’s autopsy staff member’s claim that Sushant Singh Rajput was murdered. Roopkumar Shah, a mortuary attendant, who was present during SSR’s postmortem time, revealed there were marks of beating on Sushant’s body and that when he first saw his body he immediately informed his seniors that it was not suicide but a murder. Now, Shekhar has reacted to these claims and urged CBI to take cognizance of his revelations.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the senior actor said the SSR case now needs justice and closure. He tweeted, “In view of Roop Kumar Shah's sensational statement, regarding SSR's supposed suicide,we urge the CBI to take cognizance of his revelations http://immediately.It's a definite lead that wd lead to unravelling of the conspiracy.SSR case needs a closure. And Justice. #SSRCaseTruth.” ALSO READ: Sushant Singh Rajput Was Murdered: His Sister Shweta Singh Kirti Urges CBI To Look Into Murder Claim; Says ‘Our Heart Aches To Find No Closure As Yet’

In an interview with Republic Media, Shekhar said, “If the remarks will stand in court, law will decide. It might be taken as conjucture. He [Roopkumar Shah] said what he felt is what the other side is going to say. He saw the body and raised points. He [the hospital staff who was SSR’s autopsy team] told seniors but he was told to shut up.” He added, “There were bruises also on the body he said. That holds a lot of water. There has to be an iota of truth in what he is saying. It must be investigated. What he has said is what he felt.”

Yesterday, Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti urged the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to look into the murder claim ‘diligently.’
For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away at the age of 34 at his residence in Mumbai. He was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra on June 14, 2020.
