Since a few days reports of Mahesh Bhatt being summoned by Mumbai Police were doing the rounds on social media. Cops have been acting swiftly upon Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case. More than 30 people have recorded their statements in connection with the actor’s death. Right from his family to his house help, friends and filmmakers, people in connection with Sushant have been called by Mumbai Police and were interrogated for hours. This morning, Mahesh Bhatt was snapped arriving at the Santacruz Police station to record his statement. The filmmaker was interrogated for three hours.
According to a report in Republic TV, Mahesh Bhatt reportedly arrived at Santacruz Police station at around 11 O’Clock and the interrogation began at around 11:30. The interrogation went on for three hours and he reportedly left at around 2 PM. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Investigating Officer (IO) were present during the questioning. Following the safety measures, Mahesh Bhatt opted for a face shield paired with a mask.
Earlier, Aditya Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali among others were summoned by Mumbai Police and they recorded their statement in connection with the actor's death. Reportedly, the CEO of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions will also be recording his statement tomorrow.
