The movie 'Nyay: The Justice’ which is reportedly based on the life of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been grinding in the legal battle for a long time. Earlier, Sushant’s father Krishna Kishore Singh stated in an appeal that the movie was released on an ‘obscure’ website and he even sought a stay on its release on any other OTT platforms and in cinema halls. However, Delhi High Court declined to stay the release of the film on the OTT platforms and theatres. Now, Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh took to her Twitter handle and informed everyone that a notice has been issued with the help of advocate Harish Salve.
She thanked the lawyer as well as the fans who are supporting them amidst the legal battle with the makers of the film. Priyanka tweeted, “Notice issued in the appeal! Thank you Mr Harish Salve And thanks to each and everyone standing for #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput #SSRians” Earlier, responding to a Twitter post about the HC refusing to stay the movie, Priyanka wrote that she was ‘most devastated and baffled beyond words.’ However, after she shared the latest update on the movie release, fans are elated to hear the news.
A fan wrote, “Best news so far Hundred points symbol Thank you Harish Salve sir Folded hands We are with you Di, together we are making it for Sushant and ensuring justice prevails! More power to you and family CBI Grill Pancholi 4 SSR JIAH”
