Since the country is hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, places which see a mass gathering like movie theatres, stadiums and lots more were asked to close down. While the country is still fighting with a huge number of COVID-19 positive cases, recently, in the Unlock 5.0 guidelines, the Centre announced that cinema halls across the country can open from October 15, with a capacity of 50%. Reportedly, late Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara is likely to get a theatrical release, after the reopening of cinema halls.
According to a report in Mid-Day, after a successful digital release on Disney+ Hotstar, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Dil Bechara, that also stars Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan is likely to release on the big screens, after the cinema halls and theatres across the country reopen. As per the report, after the ‘phenomenal success’ of SSR’s last movie on the digital platform with almost 95million views on the first day, to pay a tribute to the late actor, theatres have decided to screen the love story formally on the big screen.
The reports stated that Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara is set to release with Robert Pattinson’s Tenet, and Kiara Advani’s Indoo Ki Jawaani. The sources in the report also revealed that theatres are also willing to release other movies which released on the OTT platforms, which will include Tenet, Indoo Ki Jawaani, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari and other films. As per the report, the screening of the films depends on the reopening dates of the theatres in Maharashtra and other states. Reportedly, the footfalls in the first weeks after theatres reopen will also determine the decision of the owners.
