Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death on June 14, 2020, due to suicide has somewhat unveiled an ugly and unpleasant side of the entertainment business. While earlier the reason for his death was reported as depression which was published in the media, now the investigation in the actor’s death case has taken a massive turn with his alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty coming under the radar while investigating the case. An FIR has been filed against her and 5 others for abatement of suicide. Now Sushant's family, colleagues, and fans are demanding a CBI probe in this matter.
So far we saw his sister Shweta Singh Kirti, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Sanjana Sanghi, Parineeti Chopra, Sushant's ex-GF Ankita Lokhande, Kangana Ranaut, all have taken to their Instagram account, asking for justice and demanding for a CBI inquiry in the case. Now joining the voices are the late actor’s close friends from the industry actor Mahesh Shetty and casting director turned film director Mukesh Chhabra. Mahesh Shetty was also the person who Sushant last called. Both in their insta stories prayed and hoped the truth to prevail followed by the hashtag, #CBIFORSSR. Mukesh Chhabra also mentioned in his text today that it has been exactly 2 months after the actor passed away.

Mukesh Chhabra marked his directorial debut with Sushant Singh Rajput’s last release of his career Dil Bechara. The film premiered on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar and also had a TV premiere.
