One of the dreams of Sushant Singh Rajput was to plant 1000 trees and well, all thanks to friends and fans, he has achieved more than his goal as more than one lakh saplings were planted by the late actor's fans over the weekend. A video of the same was shared on Instagram by his sister Shweta Singh Kirti who started this drive, in memory of her brother and with the help of everyone, they made his dream come true. Shweta shared an IGTV where his fans were seen planting one. Joining the initiative, SSR's friend and Pavitra Rishta co-star Mahesh Shetty, and Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra also shared pictures of themselves planting a sapling for their Bhai.
While sharing the IGTV, Shweta wrote, "#Plants4SSR More than 1 lakh trees were planted across the globe. #Plants4SSR Thank you so much for making it happen." Mahesh plants a neem sapling in order to remove all the negativity and healing. He also said that this is the baby step to fulfil Sushant's dream. He wrote, "Neem has been used traditionally to remove negativity and for healing. Taking baby steps but trying to do all I can to make your dreams come true bhai!!! #plant4ssr #plants4ssr #plantmoretrees." Mukesh wrote, "Bhai #plant4ssr #plants4ssr"
Earlier, when Shweta started with this initiative, Sushant's ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande was snapped buying plants and she had told that she wanted to fulfil his dream of planting 1000 trees while also urging everyone to do so. Just recently, the Manikarnika actress took to her social media to share some adorable pictures planting trees at home.
