It has been a month since actor Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last. His death ignited conversation about the existence of nepotism and power play in the tinsel town. Today as still his fans and industry colleagues mourn the actor’s death, as per reports in Mid Day, the late actor’s fan and family friend has appealed to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to name a lane after the actor. The appeal requests BMC To rename the lane where the late actor stayed, near Joggers’ park in Bandra, in his memory.
Sushant’s fan says, “His loss is still being mourned, and it is only befitting that the road where he resided be named after him.” As per report he approached Aaditya Thackeray and BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal with his appeal who directed him to the H (West) municipal ward. SSR’s house in Bandra falls under this jurisdiction; Nilotpal also shared of penning down this appeal to the local civic authorities. He says, “I first approached Aaditya Thackeray and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal. They directed me to the officials of the H (West) municipal ward under whose jurisdiction the area falls. I have written to the local civic authorities.”
He also suggested the authorities if not a lane, at least a chowk or a garden to be named after the late actor, thus keeping him alive in the memories. “I have also suggested that if not a road, a chowk or a garden in the area be named after Sushant. Currently, the municipal authorities are busy battling the pandemic. They have assured me they will look into it at the earliest,” he added.
