Sushant Singh Rajput's Family Lawyer Reacts To Rhea Chakraborty's Complaint Against Actor's Sister; Says It's An Attempt To Keep Mumbai Police Alive In The Case

Today, Rhea Chakraborty moved to Mumbai Police to file a complaint against Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Priyanka Singh. It was in regards to the WhatsApp chats that allegedly revealed that sister Priyanka procured prescription of medicines for Sushant Singh Rajput on June 8. Priyanka Singh allegedly got in touch with a doctor friend who prescribed medicines for mental illness to Sushant, as reported. Over this, Rhea moved to Mumbai Police accusing Priyanka Singh and doctor of offences olike Forgery, NDPS Act and TeleMedicine Practice Guidelines 2020. Now, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh has commented on it.

In a press conference, lawyer Vikas Singh stated that it is just a move to keep Mumbai Police alive in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case after the Supreme Court gave green signal to CBI to take over the case. As quoted by ANI, Vikas Singh said, "I've been given a complaint filed by #RheaChakraborty in Bandra Police station. It's effort to keep jurisdiction of Mumbai Police in this matter when SC said complaints with regard to death of #SushantSinghRajput will be investigated by CBI."

Another quote by Vikas Singh reads, "So this is clear attempt to somehow keep the Mumbai Police alive in this matter so that they can do some mischief and ensure that the family of Sushant does not get justice in this matter."


In the complaint filed, Rhea requested that an FIR be lodged against Priyanka Singh, Dr Tarun and others. Rhea stated in the complaint, "It is imperative that the actions of Priyanka Singh, Dr Tarun Kumar and others be investigated and that it be determined as to how they came to provide the deceased with such a bogus and unlawful prescription."
