Yesterday, reports of a drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death surfaced after Times Now accessed certain WhatsApp chats of Rhea Chakraborty texts that hinted at the alleged use of drugs as well as towards a ‘drug conspiracy’. Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde vehemently denied this, saying Rhea has never consumed drugs. Now, India Today has accessed a WhatsApp exchange between Rhea Chakraborty and Shruti Modi, which allegedly reveals that Sushant Singh Rajput had promised to quit marijuana.
Contrary to reports, the alleged texts indicate that Rhea was trying to get Sushant to quit marijuana and to take his medicines. The WhatsApp chat accessed by India Today is from January 2020 and in a conversation between Rhea and Shruti Modi, Rhea mentioned that Sushant was crying and that he had asked his friend Sidhu to leave. The texts shared by India Today read, “In the morning, he was crying. He told Sidhu to go back home. He is seeking help and treatment today. Let's get Kersi (Psychiatrist Kersi Chavda). We all have been taking good care of him and giving him medicines on time, but he's not healing. He has to completely stop weed and he said that he quit it since yesterday."
Rhea Chakraborty then added, “He has gone off to sleep I am leaving for the day.” Take a look:
