There came a new twist in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case after the actor’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, accusing her of abetting Sushant’s suicide, among several other accusations. Following this, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Manshinde informed that the actress has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's death to Mumbai. Now senior advocate Vikas Singh, who is the family lawyer of Sushant, has alleged that somebody in Mumbai Police is helping Rhea.
Advocate Vikas Singh, while speaking to PTI, said that if Rhea moved the Supreme Court, she should have filed a petition seeking CBI investigation. Now she has filed a petition for transfer of investigation to Mumbai, and he said that it was proof enough that Rhea is being helped by somebody in Mumbai Police. Vikas Singh told PTI, “If she (Rhea) has moved the apex court, she should have filed a petition seeking CBI investigation. FIR is registered in Patna, now she (Rhea) has filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking stay and transfer of investigation to Mumbai. Isse jyada kya proof chahiye ki (what more proof is needed that) somebody in Mumbai Police is helping her.”
After Rhea sought transfer of investigation to Mumbai, Republic reported that Sushant’s family has reportedly filed a caveat in Supreme Court.
A team of Bihar Police arrived in Mumbai after the FIR was filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, and as per reports, Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande was interrogated and Sushant’s sister Mitu’s statement was also recorded.
