Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj was among the first few people to discover his mortal remains on June 14. The actor was found dead, hanging, in his Mumbai residence by his staff members and friend Siddharth Pithani, when they broke the lock of SSR's bedroom, after he did not respond for quite some time. According to a report in India Today, late Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj detailed out everything that happened on the afternoon of June 14 while recording his statement. Rajput’s cook alleged that there were 2 keysmith’s that arrived at the late actor’s Bandra residence at around 1:30 PM. He went on to share that as the process took longer, Rajput’s friend Siddharth Pithani asked them to break the lock. Later, after the completion of the work, the keysmith’s were paid Rs 2000 by Sushant’s staff member Dipesh Sawant, and they left.
As Neeraj shared details of the afternoon of June 14, at Sushant Singh Rajput’s Bandra residence, he mentioned that when Dipesh came back, they opened the door to the room. Neeraj alleged that it was pitch dark and mentioned the air-conditioning was turned on. Neeraj mentioned that Dipesh turned on the light, Siddharth went in and came out quickly followed by him and Dipesh. SSR's cook alleged that the actor was hanging from the ceiling fan with a green cloth around his neck. Later, he alleged that Siddharth Pithani called Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh and informed her about the actor’s demise. Siddharth then asked Neeraj to fetch a knife and they cut the cloth. Neeraj shared that Sushant’s feet were outside the bed, while his mortal remains fell on the bed.
Neeraj continued to share that it was then when Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh entered the room and allegedly began shouting. Neeraj revealed, Meetu Singh said, “Gulshan tune ye kya kiya?” Rajput’s cook also claimed that Meetu asked the men to arrange her late brother’s body properly on the bed and he mentioned that it was he who removed the green kurta from Sushant’s neck. The cook shared in his statement that the kurta was the one which Rajput wore while performing Puja at his home.
