According to the latest reports Republic, in the on-going Supreme court hearing, advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi representing the Maharashtra Government in Rhea’s plea said, “Have you ever seen a state so desperately pursuing a case for prosecution? I think not. This is nothing but politics. Bihar government is clutching at the straws because of the Bihar elections."
Abhishek Singhvi questioned if one has ever seen a state so desperately pursuing a case for prosecution, talking about Bihar government and added that he has not. The Maharashtra Government representative then mentioned that it’s nothing but politics and said that Bihar government is clutching at the straws, finally claiming that their interference is due to the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, after Maharashtra government filed the details regarding the case, reports stated that Congress leader and advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi will represent their report in the next Supreme Court hearing. On the other hand, amidst the ongoing hearing, reports state that Sushant Singh Rajput's counsel countered the claims of Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer of Bihar government interference and said that there is pressure from Maharashtra government.
