The Enforcement Directorate is neck-deep into the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput's death from the past few weeks. So far, they have summoned the likes of Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, her father Indrojit, Siddharth Pithani, Meetu Singh and late actor's staff members among others. Earlier today, it was reported how filmmaker Rumi Jaffery, too, is expected to be questioned by the investigating body and now, as per the latest development, the director has reached the ED office in Mumbai. As per reports, Rumi Jaffery is likely to be asked if he had cast Sushant and Rhea in his upcoming film and his bank transactions too.
As per Republic, the filmmaker has been asked to provide the details of his contract with Sushant Singh Rajput, if any, if he paid any fee any to the late actor, if he gave any advance payment or a signing amount to the actor, if any contract was made then what was the mode of advance payment, records of who was going to finance his film with the late actor, if Rhea was paid the advance amount and lastly, did Rhea decided on Sushant's behalf or had put forth any condition like she will do the film only if Sushant is in the lead.
Rumi, in an old interview, had revealed how he had roped in the couple for a love story, the shooting for which was expected to go on floors after the lockdown. However, with Sushant's death, he claims to have shelved the film.

In other news, the Supreme Court has granted CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case and they are likely to commence with the investigation soon.
