Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and several people linked to the actor were summoned for questioning. Back in September, Rhea Chakraborty had also filed an FIR against Sushant’s sisters Priyanka Singh, Meetu Singh, Dr Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital and others, claiming that the accused prescribed drugs to Sushant without consultation. Now, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has said that the FIR filed by Rhea against Sushant’s sisters is currently with the CBI for investigation.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the Mumbai Police Commissioner said, “Accordingly, an FIR was registered against Sushant's sister and doctor based on Rhea's complaint that they gave him medicines without any medical prescription. This investigation is also now with the CBI.” According to a report in PTI, in her complaint, Rhea cited that Sushant passed away five days after he obtained a prescription wherein he was unlawfully prescribed certain drugs by his sisters and a doctor of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
The case was reportedly registered under IPC 306- abetment to suicide, !PC 420- cheating, IPC 464- making a false document, IPS 465- punishment for forgery.
Meanwhile, as AIIMS report ruled out murder theory in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh told Mumbai Mirror that he had no doubt about the findings of the post mortem carried out at Cooper Hospital. “Our collective conclusion was that Sushant committed suicide. It was just a set of motivated social media accounts spreading disinformation to discredit Mumbai police. The findings of AIIMS are not any different from what Cooper Hospital doctors had concluded. In fact, the Supreme Court was also satisfied with our investigations,” he said.
