Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by the NCB in the drugs link connected to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, has now been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. The Court was expected to give its verdict today on the bail pleas moved by actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Now, Times Now reports that Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail after 28 days in jail. Meanwhile, her brother Showik’s bail plea has been denied, and he will remain in custody.
Apart from Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's former house manager Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant had also been arrested by the NCB in the drug link. Now, ANI reported that Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant have also been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. ANI's tweet read, "Maharashtra: Samuel Miranda & Dipesh Sawant granted bail by Bombay High Court. Abdul Basit's bail plea rejected. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested them in connection with a drugs case."
On Tuesday, The Special NDPS Court had extended the judicial custody of the Rhea and Showik till October 20. However, Rhea has now been granted bail. Rhea had moved the High Court in September after her first bail plea was denied by a special court in Mumbai on September 11.
