Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, left the nation shocked. In the days following his sudden and untimely demise, the debates about nepotism in Bollywood sparked once again, while a section of Netizens claimed that Sushant was facing a scarcity of work. A few days ago, Times Now shared a video from a telephonic interview with producer Ramesh Taurani and also reported that on June 13, that is a day before Sushant’s demise, SSR had a conversation with the likes of Ramesh Taurani and Nikkhil Advani.
Now, Ramesh Taurani has talked about the contents of his conversation with Sushant a day before his death on June 14. While speaking to Bombay Times, the producer said that he did confirm about a call on 13th June at about 2.15pm that he had with Sushant, but he didn’t want to comment on anything else. Recalling the details, Ramesh Taurani said, “After exchanging pleasantries, Nikhil Advani (filmmaker) and I had narrated a story idea to Sushant. And yes we were on a conference call with him and his manager Uday.” He then said that he was asked by the journalist of the news channel how Sushant sounded on the phone, however, he now said that it isn’t possible to gauge anything about a person’s feelings over a professional phone call.
“Our call was brief, for approximately 15 minutes, and he liked the idea and we were in preliminary talks. That’s about it,” said Ramesh Taurani.
Ramesh Taurani requested people that instead of wrongful theories about the industry, he asked them to have faith in the system, while letting authorities do their job.
