Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Netizens Bash Alia Bhatt And Karan Johar For Their 'Double Standards'; #KanganaRanaut Trends For Calling Out KWK

After Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death, Kangana Ranaut is trending on Twitter for calling out Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan. Netizens claim 'Karan always put Sushant last in his ranking lists' adding ‘we need more like Kangana in industry.'

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death has sparked a new debate amongst netizens on social media. The MS Dhoni actor, who was just 34, decided to end his life after battling depression. SSR was undergoing treatment for depression and he, apparently, had stopped taking anti-depressants too. While the entire nation continues to mourn the loss, netizens along with some filmmakers are calling out ‘Big industry people’ for their double standards and hypocrisy. Yesterday, Nikhil Dwivedi tweeted that if Bollywood really cared about people then they should be in touch with actors who are running out of work.

Kangana Ranaut, on the other hand, has always been in news for calling Karan Johar a ‘flag bearer of nepotism’ and also calling out people for treating outsiders badly. Yesterday, mourning the loss of SSR, KJo took to Insta and shared a picture with late actor and blamed himself for not keeping in touch with him. His caption read, “I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year..... I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with...but somehow I never followed up on that feeling...will never make that mistake again...we live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times ...some of us succumb to these silences and go within...we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them....Sushants unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me ...to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations.....I hope this resonates with all of you as well....will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug .” Not only KJo, Alia Bhatt too tweeted her condolence for actor’s family.

After reading their messages, netizens didn’t take long to brutally bash KJo and Alia. Replying to Alia a user wrote, “It's she who mocked him throughout the disgusting show of CWK & showing here fake sympathy. Respect & praise the talent nt nepotism.” While replying to Karan one wrote, “Karan, maybe from your next season of Koffee with Karan kindly refrain from asking other actors/actresses from rating others in the order of sex appeal/acting skills. I have noticed several times that Sushant was always put at the end by most of them even though he deserved to be at the top. Imagine what he must have felt to see this on national television. I'm not blaming you for his depression. Just that no one else should feel this way ever again.


Apart from bashing these two and other Bollywood fraternity members for hypocrisy, netizens are hailing Kangana Ranaut’s action for standing up to KJo. A social activist even tweeted SSR’s quote from one of the previous interviews, where he had revealed that he’s never invited to parties. “We need more #Kangana. In recent interview Sushant said "nobody invites me to their parties." He told that Bollywood is not accepting him as family & he always feel leftover, Sad but truth! Bollywood stop hypocrisy & Ghadiyali tears! #sushantsinghrajpoot”
