Since the sudden and untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood, in connection to the drugs case. For the past few months, the agency has summoned and arrested several celebrities from the Hindi film and television industry. With the NCB probing the drugs case, there is the latest development. In a significant development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, according to the latest report, the NCB has filed a charge sheet in connection to the drug case.

ANI took to their official Twitter to report the news. The news agency made a tweet and reported, “Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau to file charge sheet in Sushant Singh Rajput related drug case in Special NDPS court today. Actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother and others are accused in the case.” As per the report, actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, who was arrested and released later by Court’s order were accused in the case. The report also stated that apart from Rhea and Showik, a few others are also accused in the case. According to the report, the charge sheet names 33 accused and statements of 200 witnesses. The report stated that more than 12,000 pages in hard copy and about 50,000 pages in digital format have been submitted in court today by the agency.

Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in September 2020. The actress was later released on bail, nearly after spending a month in prison. Her brother Showik was also arrested and is currently out on bail. Rhea and Showik have made appearances in the city after their release.
