Sushant Singh Rajput’s death sparked a furore across the country with fans demanding a CBI probe, seeking justice for the late actor. While the Mumbai Police continued with their investigation, the whole narrative of Sushant’s case changed when his father KK Singh lodged an FIR in Patna accusing his son’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and five others of abetment of suicide. As the Centre recently accepted the request of a CBI probe made by Bihar government in SSR’s death case, an article in Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana talks about how it was Mumbai who gave the late actor prosperity and not Bihar. An article in Shiv Sena’s Saamana spoke about the interference of the Bihar government in the matter of late Sushant Singh Rajput. The article read, “Bihar government should not have interfered in the matter of Sushant Singh Rajput. Over the last few years, Sushant was a Mumbaikar. Mumbai gave him prosperity and Bihar didn't stand by him during his struggle.”

Meanwhile, the article continued to talk about how the Bihar police is not Interpol and that Mumbai police was already investigating the matter, another state should have not gotten themselves involved in it. The article read, “The Bihar police is not Interpol. Mumbai police is investigating the matter and another state should not have gotten involved in this... Everyone deserves to know the truth, but it is not true that only the CBI or the Bihar police can find it out.”

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead, hanging in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. After Sushant’s father lodged an FIR in Patna,  actress Rhea Chakraborty filed a petition seeking the transfer of the case from Bihar to Mumbai. As the first hearing for the case was held on August 5, the Supreme Court ordered the Maharashtra government to file a report of all the details regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s case and gave a 3-day deadline to produce it in court.
