Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on Sunday morning, left the nation shocked. In the two days following since, debates and conversations about nepotism, favoritism, bias, and bullying in Bollywood took social media by storm. People are enraged and a few members of the film industry themselves called out nepotism and how the Bollywood biggies treat people not from the film background as outsiders. Several hashtags slamming these big-shot celebs have started trending on Twitter as aftermath. Now, Jiah Khan’s mother has spoken up in support of Sushant Singh Rajput and slammed bullying in Bollywood, saying it has to be completely demolished.
Following Jiah Khan’s death in 2013, the court case went on for a few years. While it was deemed a suicide, Jiah’s mother had continued to claim that it was a murder. The case remains unsettled, and now, Jiah’s mom has spoken up about nepotism, in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. In the video, she can be seen saying, “My condolences to Sushant Singh's family. It is very heartbreaking, it is not a joke. Bollywood has to change, Bollywood has to wake up. Bollywood has to completely demolish bullying.”
She said that what’s happening now has reminded her of 2015 when she went to meet CBI officer who had called her down from London. “He had called me down from London, said please come we have found some incriminating evidences.
Jiah Khan’s mother said that she then took this matter to Delhi to the higher CBI officers and complained about it. “And if this is the scenario, if you're going to pressurize and use your money and power to sabotage investigations, then I don’t know where citizens are going to go? I want to say, please stand up; fight, protest and stop this toxic behavior in Bollywood,” she said.
