After Rhea Chakraborty filed a plea seeking transfer of FIR from Patna to Mumbai, the Supreme Court announced the verdict by transferring the case to CBI on Wednesday. With this, the CBI team has arrived in Mumbai and will start with the investigation tomorrow while it is also said that the SIT team also is expected to arrive in the city today and commence their probe. As per the latest developments in Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case, CBI is all set to recreate the crime scene along with a top forensic doctor on board, as reported by Times Now. The same doctor that investigated Sunanda Pushkar case has been appointed on the late actor's death case. The portal said that the forensic reports and post-mortem reports hold a pivotal role in this case.

Furthermore, Times Now also reported that the CBI will stay in the Mumbai for a week and will try to understand what exactly had happened in Sushant's life and then they will recreate every step leading to his death and will try to establish if the case was a suicide or a homicide. They will also examine the autopsy, post-mortem and forensic reports. On the other hand, Sushant's family have recorded their statement and CBI will also interrogate Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty.

As Times Now reported that CBI might stay in Mumbai for a week, earlier, we reported how the BMC commissioner asked the CBI to apply for exemption from the ongoing quarantine rules if they are going to stay for more than seven days in the city for the investigation.

Meanwhile, the court has also ordered the Mumbai police who were initially probing the case to hand over all the collected evidence and reports so far to the CBI team. Reportedly, 6 people have been quizzed in the 1st phase of the investigation.
