It’s been more than two months since Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly ended his life at his Bandra West apartment. As the late actor’s family, friends and fans continue to reel with the unfortunate incident, the Supreme Court in its latest verdict approved CBI investigation in the SSR death case. Last night, the CBI team arrived in Mumbai to investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Soon after CBI has begun their investigation, late actor’s father KK Singh’s lawyer Vikas Singh said that girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty is likely to be taken into custody as ‘she’s the prime accused in the case.’
ETimes has quoted Lawyer Vikas Singh that professional rivalry angle will also be investigated. The portal quoted Lawyer saying, “Professional rivalry will be part of the investigation, we have not left it. We didn't impress upon it so much as we did not have direct information about it.” When asked about if Rhea will be taken into custody for the interrogation, the Lawyer said, “There is a certain chance of her being taken into custody for questioning as she is the prime accused in the case.”
Earlier in an interview with Zoom TV, Vikas Singh said, “Rhea Chakraborty has shown her double face at every given point in this case. Her lawyer not even once mentioned in the entire hearing that he would want this case transferred to CBI. He argued till the end that we want Mumbai Police only to investigate the case but now that she's lost, she's doing face-saving. She just keeps proving that all the allegations against her are true.”
