Sushant Singh Rajput’s father Krishan Kishore Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, and 5 other (including three family members) at Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna, Bihar. They all have been booked under Section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of all the IPC. In her defence, Rhea filed a petition to the Supreme Court so that the case not be shifted to Bihar and continues to be investigated on Mumbai.
In her petition to the SC, Rhea said that she was in a live-in relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput and he was under depression. She stated in her petition, Rhea and Sushant were in a ‘year-long relationship with the deceased and is herself in a state of trauma from the incident.’ She also said that Sushant ended his life on June 14 but they ‘last resided together on June 8, 2020,’ and then she moved out temporarily to her Santa Cruz residence.
In the petition filed Rhea said that the entire allegation levelled against the actress by SSR’s father KK Singh are ‘entirely false and concocted with the ulterior motive" and even Rhea "denies the same." She added, the complainant, KK Singh, "has substantial influence at Patna as he is able to mobilise investigation in a case without jurisdiction and therefore the petitioner fears that she would be unable to get a fair and just trial in as much as the local authorities are hand-in-glove with the complainant and he possesses the capacity to greatly influence the investigation and the trial in the cases.”
