Sushant Singh Rajput took his life by after hanging himself to death today morning. He was just 34. SSR was last seen in Netlfix film Drive and was gearing up for his next Dil Bechara directed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra. Prayers and condolence messages continue to pour in from his fans and industry friends. But his death has not only urged people to talk about mental health, but it has also sparked a new debate on social media. Many Bollywood celebs and netizens feel that the industry was aware of SSR's lesser work, but nobody came forward to help despite him being a great actor.
Taking to Twitter, now filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi has spoken the harsh truth and asked Bollywood filmmakers if they are in touch with actors like Imran Khan, Abhay Deol who are running out of work. He wrote, “At times our movie industry's hypocrisy gets to me. High &mighty announcing they shud ve kept in touch with Sushant.. Cmon u didn't! &thts coz his career dipped. So STFU! R u in touch with Imran Khan, Abhay Deol &others? No! But u were, when they were doing well #SushantSinghRajput”

Praying for Sushant, Nikhil paid his condolences and wrote, “I wished you had another way. Each time someone willingly chooses death like this.. It shakes us. We are all shaken. Wondering if there was no other option left at all… I wish you had other options Sushant.”

Speaking about the same, reel and real-life MS Dhoni’s stylist Sapna Bhavnani too said, “It’s no secret Sushant was going through very tough times for the last few years. No one in the industry stood up for him nor did they lend a helping hand. To post about him today is the biggest display of how shallow the industry really is. No one here is your friend. RIP”

Hinting about the same, director Anubhav Sinha also wrote, “The Bollywood Privilege Club must sit down and think hard tonight. PS- Now don't ask me to elaborate any further.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt took to Twitter to pay her tribute. Her Tweets read, “I’m in a deep state of shock. No matter how much I think about it, I don’t have the words. I’m totally devastated. You've left us too soon. You will be missed by each and every one of us. My deepest condolences to Sushant's family, loved ones, and his fans.” (ALSO READ: Sushant Singh Rajput Demise: Hansal Mehta Lashes Out At KRK For Making Constant 'Disparaging Remarks' About Late Actor; Calls Him A ‘Parasite’)
