On Wednesday, the Supreme Court has officially transferred the Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case to the CBI team. With this, the investigation has been started as the CBI team along with S.I.T (Special Investigation Team) have approached Mumbai Police for Sushant’s case files. As per a report in
Times Now, the agency will also recreate the crime scene with forensic experts and carry out a dummy test at Sushant's apartment in Bandra where he died on June 14. However, the latest development in the case suggests that the team has already recorded Sushant's family's statement for the second time now.
According to the report in Times Now, CBI has recorded Sushant's family's statement twice and also recorded statements of some people who are pivotal to the case. Furthermore, the portal even reported that Sushant's family had on record told S.I.T that the family complaint, which was made in February, was not taken seriously by Mumbai Police. WhatsApp messages were sent by Sushant's brother-in-law to the former DCP of Bandra. "These Mumbai Police officials will be examined by CBI SIT," said a source. Reportedly, 6 people have been quizzed in the 1st phase of the investigation.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the BMC commissioner has asked the CBI to apply for exemption from the ongoing quarantine rules if they are going to stay for more than seven days in the city for the investigation.
