Last month, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed draft charges against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and others in connection with a drugs case linked to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Now as per the latest reports, the NCB in its draft charges has claimed that Rhea received multiple deliveries of ganja from the co-accused, including her brother Showik, and these were handed over to Sushant. The draft charges were filed by the Central anti-drug agency in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against 35 accused.
According to Etimes TV report, as per the draft charges, “all the accused entered into a criminal conspiracy between March 2020 and December that year with each other or in groups to procure, purchase, sell and distribute drugs in high society and Bollywood.” The accused also had financed drug trafficking and consumed ganja, charas, cocaine, and other narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without valid licence, permit or authorisation within the Mumbai Metropolitan region. The report added that Rhea procured many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant, and others and handed over those deliveries to the late Sushant Singh Rajput. The payment for those deliveries was made by the actress at the instance of Showik and Sushant between March 2020 and September that year. ALSO READ:

The NC draft charges also claimed that Rhea’s brother Showik was in constant touch with drug peddlers and thus he received many deliveries from the co-accused. And, these deliveries were handed over to Rajput. On the basis of the draft charges, the trial will begin but the court will have to first decide on the discharge pleas of the accused.
Following the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, many agencies probed and investigated his death from different angles and a dug case was linked to his death. SSR’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in the case in September 2020 and a month later she was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
