The havoc surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput's demise is still fresh in our minds. It was on June 14 that the Kedarnath actor left for his heavenly abode, leaving millions of people in shock. Soon after, contrary to the Mumbai Police's investigation reports hinting at suicide, the internet was flooded with requests of a CBI intervention. Sushant's girlfriend and actress Rhea was labelled the prime accused by a section of the media. Rhea spent a couple of weeks in the jail over her alleged involvement in a drugs nexus. It was during that phase that the Jalebi actress had filed an FIR against Sushant's sisters by accusing them of procuring 'fake medical prescription' for the late actor through telemedicine, without consulting a professional.

In response to the same, Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters had filed a counterclaim in the HC, asking to quash Rhea's FIR. Now, as per a report in Times Of India, the Bombay High Court has adjourned their plea to January 7. It was in the month of September that Rhea had filed the FIR. Reportedly, the Mumbai police registered the FIR against Sushant's elder sisters - Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh - and a doctor for issuing a fake prescription of medicines supposedly for anxiety, prohibited under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

The report added how the medicines in question were obtained a short while before Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic death.

At present, Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is being jointly probed by the CBI, ED and NCB. The forces, however, are yet to issue the conclusion of their investigation.
