Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, there has been a flood of outrage and grief on social media. It was only some days ago that his father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and some others related to her in abetment to suicide. Sushant's close aids like Sidharth Pithani, Sandip Ssingh and Ankita Lokhande, too, have spoken upon his death. However, not much was available about the late actor's good friend and former business associate Samuel Haokip, who also stayed with him for a long till July 2019. Now, in an interview with Times Now, Samuel has broken his silence and revealed that till the time he was with Sushant, he didn't spot any sign of depression.
Upon being asked about their rapport and Sushant's depression theory, Samuel said, "I stopped working with him in July, somewhere around June-July, 2019. So, I'm not aware of what really went wrong or what really happened after that. However, till the time I was there, there wasn't such a point where I could say he was kind of depressed because we used to have a really good time together. We had a small team and we used to swim together, play, sing and go for the shoots together. There was never really a point where I could just pinpoint and say that he was a depressed person because he was very lively. You do get a little sad or upset sometimes due to things around you but that doesn't mean you're depressed."
As for his medication, Samuel added, "I spoke to a couple of them and they told me a few things about there were some kind of medication and few doctors involved. Again, it's hearsay for me, which I cannot comment on because I'm not really aware of the hard facts."

Sushant was full of life. He never seemed depressed to me. Also, he was a really balanced guy when it comes to financial expenditure: Samuel Haokip. pic.twitter.com/bIctMDMdQH
It was only recently that the Bihar police got their hands on Sushant's financial transactions, which revealed that Rhea had allegedly spent whopping crores on herself and her brother. Upon being asked if Sushant was conservative or spent his income lavishly, Samuel said, "He was pretty balanced when it comes to the financial decision making. He was not completely a conservative and he wasn't completely living a lavish, lavish life."
Samuel concluded saying he didn't believe that Sushant can ever commit suicide, "I didn't believe it. I started getting calls, I started getting Instagram messages. People were calling me from everywhere. I didn't believe it for an hour or so and then I called the staff, I called other people who could've possibly had an idea into what must've happened with him. So, I called them up and they gave me the same story which was everywhere on the internet. I was really shocked and it's still not easy for me to come to terms with this whole incident because whatever time I spent with Sushant, he didn't really look like he would do such a thing."
