After the Supreme Court ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the agency is doing its best to find out the truth behind the actor’s mysterious demise. A few days back, the AIIMS medical board submitted its report to the CBI ruling out the murder theory in the SSR case, after which, the agency also issued a statement, clarifying that the probe in the late actor’s case continues. According to a latest report in Indian Express, the CBI investigation in the actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case matches the AIIMS find.
In the report, an official source of the CBI was quoted saying, “The crime scene recreation fit with the idea of a suicide. There was no evidence of forced entry, no signs of struggle (during a scuffle) on the body and initial forensic reports did not suggest poisoning or sedation. The circumstances pointed towards a suicide. But to be doubly sure, the matter was referred to a panel of doctors from AIIMS, which has now come to the same conclusion.”
As per the report, as the CBI investigation matches the AIIMS report, the agency is now focusing on several other different reasons that could have pushed SSR to take his life which will include ‘any role played by Rhea Chakraborty, professional rivalry and nepotism in Bollywood; effect of drug abuse and the late actor’s mental health.’ The report also states that the audit report sees no concrete financial transaction with Rhea Chakraborty. According to the forensic audit reports, from more than Rs 70 Crore worth of transactions done through SSR’s accounts in the last five years, only Rs 55 lakh could be found that were linked to Rhea.
Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by the NCB, in connection to the drugs angle in the SSR death case and remanded to judicial custody, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court, today, after almost a month in jail. Speaking of the SSR death case, the late actor’s father KK Singh filed an FIR, in Patna, accusing Rhea Chakraborty and others of abetment of suicide.
