Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Bollywood Make-up Artist Suraj Godambe Arrested By Anti-Narcotics Agency

After the biggest seizure, the Narcotics Control Bureau has now arrested Bollywood’s make-up artist Suraj Godambe in the drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Anti-narcotics agencies have been probing the Bollywood drug cartel case swiftly and new names are often emerging every now and then. In the latest development, NCB raided comedian Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s house and office. After being in judicial custody for a day, the couple was granted bail. Later, Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty too was granted bail.

Yesterday, in the huge twist NCB arrested an absconding drug supplier Regel Mahakal after seizing contraband named Malana cream'', worth Rs 2.5 crore. The seized substances include 5 kilograms of hashish – worth Rs2.5 crore - small quantities of opioids (afeem) and MDMA, street name Ecstasy. Today afternoon, NCB nabbed Bollywood’s make-up artist Suraj Godambe, Suraj is HOD, make-up department at a production house.

NCB arrested Suraj with 11 gms of cocaine. He has worked on popular Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots (2009), Fearless (2010) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). ANI also Tweeted, “Maharashtra: Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai has apprehended two persons from Andheri West and seized 16 packets of cocaine and drug proceeds amounting Rs 56,000. The accused have been remanded to NCB custody till 16th December.” Sooraj will be produced in the court later today.

Before Suraj, NCB arrested another drug supplier in Mumbai named Azam Sheikh Jumman. He was named by the officials after carrying out raids at his Milat Nagar residence in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. As per online reports, 5 kilograms of hashish and Rs 14 lakh cash were recovered from his residence.
