Recently, TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor received massive backlash for launching the Pavitra Rishta Fund to spread mental health awareness among people. Soon after she announced the launch of the fund on Sushant Singh Rajput’s name, fans trolled Ekta Kapoor and debunked the depression theory. SSR’s fans called out the filmmaker for using the late Bollywood actor's name and face for mental health awareness initiative. Not only Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans even actor’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti too took an indirect jibe at Kapoor for ‘using Sushant as a poster boy for mental health awareness’.

In his series of Tweet, Vishal wrote, “SSR’s brother-in-law Vishal wrote, “@shwetasinghkirt and I don’t endorse any commercialization in Sushant’s name. If people are doing anything using Sushant’s name, it should not be motivated by profit. The family has not endorsed any for-profit activity using Sushant’s name. For any non-profit activity in Sushant’s name, please get a written clearance from Sushant’s father to prevent getting sued later. No to using Sushant as a poster boy for mental health awareness. If the family feels that they have been libeled by any organization or individual, they will pursue legal recourse.”

Soon after the initiative was launched on the social media, netizens began to trend #ShameOnEktaKapoor heavily. A user wrote, “How dare you Ekta Kapoor ? The proceeding is on process and people like you declared him mentally unstable! You and your whole gang should check your sanity !! @narendramodi @PMOIndia take back her Padma Shri !!!” “Pavitra Rishta Fund is AGENDA to ruin Sushant Image. #ShameOnEktaKapoor” wrote another user.
