Days after filmmaker Rumi Jaffery recorded his statement at a Mumbai Police station, he was visited by Bihar Police at his residence, for investigation

Filmmaker Rumi Jaffery was summoned by Mumbai Police in connection with the actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, 2020. Now as per reports in Times of India, Bihar Police recently visited his residence for investigation. The filmmaker had revealed about an intent to collaborate with SSR for a romantic-comedy also starring the late actor’s alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, even before he was summoned by the Mumbai Police. Bihar Police began investigation in the actor’s case after KK Singh, actor’s father filed an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty. 

Rumi Jaffery in conversation with ETimes had earlier revealed about Mumbai Police questioning him about everything right from his movie collaboration with the late actor to his reported health problems. He said, “From the romcom I was planning with Sushant to his mental health, the police questioned me about everything.” After KK Singh’s FIR a team of 4 members was deployed by Bihar Police to Mumbai to investigate in the death case. Post which it was reported of the assigned team trying to reach Rhea and also getting details of the actor’s bank account. 

In the recent past ANI News shared on their official Twitter account, of a petition filed in Patna High Court requesting transfer of this case from Bihar State Police to CBI.

The late actor’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has also written to PM Narendra Modi to look into this matter and to serve justice in her brother's case. 

Meanwhile, it is also reported of the actress Rhea and her family leaving their residence some three days ago.
