Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh in his FIR had alleged that Rhea Chakraborty used SSR’s money extensively for her personal expenses due to which Enforcement Directorate had to file a money laundering case against the Jalebi actress and her brother Showik. After which, Rhea, her brother, father, Sushant's former business manager Shruti Modi and more were summoned by the ED to record their statement. On August 11, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Mitu Singh reached the Enforcement Directorate’s office in connection with a probe related to alleged money laundering in the case involving her brother’s death. She is the first member of Rajput’s family who has been called for questioning by the ED. According to a report in TOI, she was quizzed about Sushant's finances.
Reportedly, Singh was also called by Mumbai Police five times but had never produced herself before the investigators for recording her statement. As Mitu Singh reached the ED office, a video of her arriving at the ED office was shared by ANI showing how Mitu was escorted by female police officers, as she got mobbed by the media gathered around the ED office.
Meanwhile, yesterday, Shruti Modi was called for the third round of questioning where she had to submit some documents to ED. In her statement to ED, she claimed that Sushant's finances and movie decisions were made by Rhea Chakraborty on his behalf.
