In a recent interview to SpotboyE, Sunny Deol had talked about wanting to direct his son Karan’s Bollywood debut (Sunny: Gen X actors are more interested in their looks than acting, Feb 2)
Now, we have more details on that front.
Karan’s debut film, we have learnt, is a tribute to his dadaji Dharmendra. How, you ask? Well, the movie is titled Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, a song that is synonymous with the senior Deol.
The evergreen romantic number, a part of 1973 super hit Black Mail, had been sung by Kishore Kumar and features a dashing Dharmendra and a coy Rakhee.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is expected to roll in a couple of months from now. The film will be a romantic drama with strong doses of action. (How can any Deol home production be devoid of action?) The heroine is yet to be finalised.
Karan has previously worked as an assistant director on his home-production Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013).
