Nandy, who had the option to approach the Court after FCAT did not endorse his film, instead decided to tone down its adult content. On Thursday, he came back to the Censor Board with a revised version of the film.
The screening was held at NFDC, Worli. Nandy and Milap both attended. The duo waited with bated breath for the verdict. Alas!
The Censor Board members who saw the film on Thursday felt that the content is still too explicit.
First, the Examining Committee refused to clear the movie (SpotboyE.com, May 18). Nandy then took his project to the Revising Committee. However, they too rejected the film (SpotboyE.com, June 3), saying that the film is in bad taste. Nandy, who was present at both the screenings, had no option now but to go to the Tribunal. The producer even used his political connections to get the film passed.
What next, Nandy? Do we finally see you heading to the Court?
We texted Nandy's daughter Rangita but she chose not to respond. Ditto for Milap Zaveri.
